Boasting more than 150 campsites, the Lake Alpine campground has 180 surface acres. The Lake has an average depth of forty feet, and the area is famous for many activities such as hiking, swimming, boating and fishing. A lodge at Lake Alpine includes a store, boat rentals, cabin rentals, and restaurants.

There is a camping area at Lake Alpine, the Lodgepole overview area, open when all the campsites are filled! The campgrounds, which are open during the mid-period of June, usually close at the end of September.

The campground of the place stretches along the shores of this mesmerizing Lake. This campground has an elevation of 7300 feet. You can discover the secluded campground and also reconnect with Mother Earth!

Following are some of the most famous campgrounds at Lake Alpine:

Mighty farms

Stretched out at 155 acres over the Sierra foothills, the Mighty farm is a working farm where vegetation such as mushrooms, flowers, and blooms is produced. Being near downtown Murphy, the property is known for wine tasting, festivals, and concerts. The place has a mountain lake and lush meadows that provide a relaxing retreat for all visitors.

Pine Marten Campground

If you want to take your family with you, Pine Marten, in the Stanislaus National Forest, is one of the most popular destinations you should not miss out on! Some recreational activities at this place are swimming, boating, and fishing.

You will see that the campground has conifer forests and gets shade and sunlight in ample amounts. If at all you plan to swim, you should bring your swimming gear and children should wear life jackets. The water here can be very cold. There is a total of 32 sites at this place, and each site has the capacity to hold six people.

Lodgepole campground

Located two miles west of the Alpine Lake, the Lodgepole campground has breath taking views of the Stanislaus National Forest. The campsite has room for six people in total, two vehicles and three tents.

Apart from this, each campsite has toilets, campfire rings, and picnic tables. In the general store, one is likely to get camping, firewood, food, and fishing supplies.

The campground has an elevation of 7290 feet, and you will come across animals such as deer, coyotes, marmots, and squirrels. One can come across many recreational activities, such as biking, horse riding, and hiking.

Big meadow campground

Situated in the Calaveras ranger district, the Big Meadow Campground is surrounded by white fir, pine, aspen, and red fir. The campground has large sites and natural granitic outcrops, which can be seen throughout the site.

The site is a first come, first serve campground, and thus, you will have to plan everything well to avoid further hassles. Spice Meadow Reservoir and Lake Alpine are only a 15-minute drive away! You will see the breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks in California.

Silver Lake East campground

Located fifty miles east of Jackson, Silver East campground is in the vicinity of the shores of Silver Lake. Many outdoor activities, such as fishing, swimming, hiking, and boating, take place. Silver Lake East and Silver Lake West are both adjacent to each other.

Hiking is the most popular activity at Silver Lake East Campground. The Lake boasts populations of German, Brown, Rainbow, and Mackinaw trout. There are single units at the campground, and they are limited to a maximum of two vehicles and, at the most, six people. The area surrounding the lake blooms with bright wildflowers during the month of summer.

Pacific Valley Campground

A meadow and a forest, located off Highway four, Pacific Valley campground is adjacent to Pacific Creek. The entire campground is spread across the open lodge pole forest, and there is an array of campsites here.

Some of the most popular recreational activities here are fishing, riding, camping, and hunting. Fishing is primarily popular at Mosquito Lakes, which is only a mile to the west.

Vault toilets, fire pits, and tables are some of the amenities provided at this site. The campground is situated at an elevation of 7500 feet, and each site has a capacity of occupying six people.

Mosquito Lake Campground

Situated to the north of Lake Lousie, Mosquito Lake Campground is a primitive campground, and there are two camping loops at this place. All the nature enthusiasts will be delighted after seeing the vast marshes and the natural woodland of this area.

This park has a huge capacity, and it offers 234 campsites, out of which 218 sites have electricity and water, and the remaining ones are non-electric sites. This campground has the best fishing spot and has eleven sites with picnic tables.

Sierra In at Tahoe

Located in Kyburz, Sierra Inn is the site that has the South Fork in the backyard. If you want to explore lakes, mystical mountains, and enchanting trails, you should visit this place! The accommodations at Sierra are located only twenty minutes from Sierra at the Tahoe Ski Resort.

This site is the ultimate paradise for hikers. The rooms here have two beds and also have modern amenities such as mini-fridges, AC, TV, and microwaves.

Lake Alpine campground

Located in the vicinity of Stanislaus National Forest, the west shore campground, also known as the Lake Alpine Campground, sits with the north shore of the Alpine Lake, and it is within walking distance from the boat launch and the rentals.

The site sits at an elevation of 7400 feet, and the forests have animals such as bears, eagles, marmots, deer, and squirrels. The Lake provides a variety of physical activities such as biking, hiking, boating and kayaking.
